Hello Everyone,

I was recently on this forum for assistance with my system running Windows 10. Frequent hard resets, BSOD's, and system freezes. A driver issue was suspect, but I don't think we pinpointed exactly which one was the culprit. The issue seemed to have solved itself recently after a graphics driver update; not a 100 percent sure of that.

My current problem though, is that I have been getting a very specific quirk out of Microsoft Office 2013 for some time now. I'm not sure if it is related to the previous system wide errors, as their appearance overlapped closely and I only realized that something was wrong when the crashes didn't stop.

The programs in the office suite are demonstrating some weird screen artifacts. Portions of the ribbon/menus get covered up in black. Black lines randomly appearing along UI buttons. Vertical white lines breaking through text, etc. I've tried to include the example images below.

I attempted to reinstall the suite, but it appears to have done absolutely nothing. If anyone has experienced this issue or could point me in the right direction I would greatly appreciate it. Ya'll have been very kind in the past and I am grateful of your efforts.

Solution
I wanted to update this thread in case it could be of help to someone else. It appears that a recent update to MS Office causes some sort of incompatibility with hardware acceleration. After I disabled hardware acceleration, found in the advanced options menu available on any of the individual MS Office products, the issue ceased almost immediately. The link below tipped me off of the possible solution.
