MS Teams VS MS SharePoint

I want to make a education focused group for my class, which one should I choose?
Can you tell me the pros and cons of both please?
Can you maybe join them together?
Or are they maybe any other Office 365 compatible "systems"?

Sharepoint is really just for sharing documents. MS Teams is better for collaborations.
