Ms word asking for key on windows 7

I am using system 7 and when I bring up word it only lets me view not edit. What key do I need to fix this problem

It has nothing to do with Windows 7 - you need the MS Office or MS Word license key you got when you purchased the product.

Yep...you don't get Office free with Windows 7 - it is a separate product with a separate license.
