MSAA in Games

Solution
I recently got a 1440p monitor, and I'd agree that you don't really need to go beyond 2x MSAA at that resolution. You can certainly try it if you want, but the performance hit would be rather large for the gains that you would get. Honestly, at that resolution you probably wouldn't be able to notice the difference between 2x and 4x MSAA unless you were very closely scrutinizing a still image. That isn't really worth taking a big performance hit unless you have a monster GPU setup that has plenty of headroom to spare at 1440p.
Personal preference, depends how much you notice jaggies. 2X should be a good starting point at 1440p, but it's at least worth checking whether 4X looks better to you.

There are also other AA options available, depending on the game. SMAA is one I particularly like, as it doesn't hurt the framerate nearly as much as MSAA, but mostly looks just as good.

Solution
On Deus Ex Mankind Divided unless I am exceeding 4x MSAA I don't feel any FPS performance issue. Only at 8x does the fps start to get below 60. Also I have seen putting anisotropic filtering from 16x to 8x gets me additional 5-7 fps.
