mSATA SSD RAID 0 on single module

So my Acer Aspire s7 died a few weeks ago. Now I would like to restore all the data from it's drive. It is an mSATA SSD with RAID 0 on a single module. I bought a cheap mSATA to SATA adapter and hooked it up to an old laptop. Unfortunately only one member of the RAID 0 is seen by the OS.

Do anyone have any suggestion on how to copy data from that RAID 0 setup?

1. One physical drive, with a RAID 0? How did that happen? And why?

2. Without all the working bits, recovery of a RAID 0 is unlikely.

"Pro's: they are blazing fast."
Except with SSD's. Basically zero real world performance gain.

"The system shows a RAID 0 configuration with two 128 GB SSDs."

Ok, so two actual drives, siamesed together.

Without the Acer brain (RAID controller), this is highly unlikely to be recoverable.

This is why we harp on backups so much. Doubly so for a RAID 0.
