MSATA_1 slot and ssd

what cable do i need to connect a ssd to my pc i have a MSATA_1 slot but i do not know if i have a cable for it would i get it with my pc or would i have to separately buy it also i can connect it to a sata slot but dose that affect the speed of the ssd
my mother board is MSI Z87-GD65-GAMING ATX Motherboard (Intel Z87, 4x DDR3, DVI, HDMI, 6x USB3.0, Killer E2205 LAN, LGA1150 Socket)

If it's a normal SATA SSD, connect it to one of the 6Gbps SATA 3.0 ports using one of the SATA cables that came with the motherboard. If it's an mSATA SSD, you plug it directly into an mSATA slot
