Msconfig and processor(s)

In another post someone said that, in msconfig, processors should be set to 2 for better performance....

my msconfig says 1 processor -- i have 2500k ---- should it be set to 2 and why ?

There is no reason to change the processors setting, except for certain types of troubleshooting. Here is a good article that explains why in more detail...
