so i have been looking into purchasing a new budget gpu, and have settled on the 1050 ti. however when looking at the specifications it says "this gpu is 2 slots wide"
what does "2 slots wide" mean? does it use 2 gpu slots on the motherboard?

sorry if this sounds cringey but there is no-one who has explained

Solution
No, it means that it fills two of the backplate slots on the back of the case - and IF you have a slot immediately next to your PCIe x16 slot, then the card's bulk will probably block it from being used.

But it does not actually connect to two separate slots.
