Question MSI 1050 Ti, with or without 6-pin power supply?

Hello

MSI 1050 Ti (V335-001R) has a 6-pin connector for power supply on it, but according to the official MSI website, it uses 75 W only. If it can draw these 75 W from the motherboard via PCI slot, why is there 6-pin connection for additional power?

In other words, would it be safe to use this card without connecting it to 6-pin power supply?

So, If I understand correctly, it is completely safe not to connect the GPU via 6-pin connector and use power from PCI slot only, if the card is not overclocked?
