HI All and thanks for reading firstly new build Spec
Seasonic 850FX
Asus ROG Strix Z390-F
I7 8086K
AIO Masterliquid lite 240
Corsair Vengenance 2x8GB DDR4 3000Mhz
MSI 1060 Armor 6gb OCV1
Samsung SSD

Problems are driving me crazy as follows
Everything fine until GPU demand then :

On Furmark
Runing Preset 1080 sometimes freezes and crashes out
Reduced power (using Afterburner) furmark runs but freezes although when it unfreezes the percentage complete has continued once complete it leaves PC running super slow (click and wait 10 to 15 seconds) but no demand of anything in task monitor reported. after 10 mins black screen then back to normal running.

Novabench freezes after running the graphics test for a short time
Message - there was a problem running this test re install etc...
Task monitor nb3d.exe -not responding

Have had windows messages
Application has been blocked from accessing graphics hardware

On fortnite
well defined red spots on lobby screen - crash soon after starting

Beam ng
When game play screen starts large blocks of colour shading appear like maybe 15 and mostly stay - followed by crash

Temperatures all fine GPU (MSI afterburner) less than 60
Prime 95 runs fine to test CPU
have tried old and new drivers for the GPU , updated Motherboard Bios , removed Realtek sound drivers.
Is there a BIOS setting i am missing?
Is Graphics card roasted? it's the only secondhand component.

any help, clues, or ridicule appreciated

Sounds like either the bios is corrupt on the card OR the GPU is starting to fail. Check your system for corruption issues on SSD and or bios. Try removing and reseating the card, try a different pcie slot. Try the card in another system

Thanks

I have tried updating bios on Motherboard, not tried GPU or checked SSD issues Ill try that next...
Tried card on old Core 2 Quad and it worked fine but i don't thin it's really been tested
Tried the PCIe 2 slot and same problems,
have cleanedd contacts and re seated

I think I may have been sold a failing GPU...
