My MSI 1060 6gb ocv2 temperature in games like FC5 and CODWW2 goes up to 82C. Is this normal? In games like Crysis 3 it stays in mid 70s. Whats going on?

I bought the card 2nd hand and is in excellent condition. I did change the thermal paste twice but still gives high temps in certain games. It is not OCd.

Also, is there an aftermarket cooler for this model?

Solution
I think 82C might be a LITTLE high.....but that's about it.
All the GTX cards I've had and an RTX 2080 Ti run in the high 70's at 100% usage.
I would open up the case and run and see what happens to the temperature.
If it drops....I would try and add some case cooling.
....but I don't think 82C is going to damage anything.

Yes, I tested it with my 3gb Asus and the temps are the same (82C), so youre right.

Yes, I tested it with my Asus 3gb and the temps stay the same, so it is definitely the case ventilation. I took off the cover and the heat dropped to 68-72C. Somewhat relieved. Unfortunately, my case is a standard ATX case so not much room at all for fans.....

It doesn't hurt anything to run with the case open. I do it all the time. Just be careful not to spill anything in there or damage anything (dropping stuff in there).

Sometimes I do but generally I am worried about dust. I put a small 60mm fan on the gpu fans but it doesnt help really.
