MSI 1070Ti vs cheap 1080

I just want to know, because I see a couple of 1080s in stores that are significantly cheaper than gtx 1080s that come from more popular brands like ASUS, EVGA, MSI etc. I think it’s because they don’t perform the best because of their lower clock speeds and stuff.

So I was wondering if a 1070ti from a reputable brand like MSI would differ from a low tier 1080?

What are your PC specs? If you play using 1080p and 144hert or below. I would say just go for 1070. Even a normal 1070 (non TI) would do the job just fine.

If you are aiming for 4k in the future. Then get the 1080.

I personally run the MSI 1070 OCed to 2000mhz from the factory on 144herts. Runs like a champ.

What exact 1080 and 1070 Ti are you looking at?

There generally isn't much difference in performance between different models of the same GPU. More expensive cards usually just run cooler/quieter (might overclock a bit better). A budget 1080 is still going to be more powerful than the MSI 1070 Ti.
