MSI 1080ti Heat problem?

I have very recently bought a 1080ti from MSI.

After using it to play some games like GTA 5 and CS:GO. My legs next to the pc started to feel hot, I pressed my hand on the side of my case and it was really hot.

I checked the temperature on MSI Afterburner and it said 57°C.
Is this a normal temperature?

Is it normal for the side of my case to be so hot during gaming?

Will this damage my case? (I have a small plastic window to look into my pc, will it melt?)

Normal temperature for a graphics card.

Get HWMonitor or HWInfo and read off the actual gpu and system temps.
