Hi,
Hope someone could help me or give me advice for my GPU.

I recently got a MSI 2070 SUPER VENTUS OC and when gaming about 20min in the temperature for the card rises and sits around 80c - 85c never passes 85c. Are these temperatures okay? Or would it damage the card if I keep using it at these temperatures?
The temperature in my room is pretty cool. My case has 6 fans. 4 intakes and 2 exhausts.

Heres my build: View: https://imgur.com/gallery/BLodx7K

Case: Zalman LTD Edition S5 ARGB

  • Ryzen 7 3700X
  • MSI B450 Gaming Pro Carbon AC
  • GSkill Trident Z Neo DDR4 - 3600
  • 256GB M.2 SSD
  • 2TB Seagate 7200 HDD
  • EVGA 600Watt 80 PLUS Gold

I attached some pics of my build for a better look.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Yeah I tried a custom fan curve. I set the curve to be 80% speed when it hits 70c and 95% speed when it hits 85c it helps a bit drops it to aound 79-81c. I contact msi support and they said as long as the gpu doesn't exceed 95c it's okay.

But does having the fan speed on the gpu running at 100% for about 2-3hrs every other day bad for the GPU?

I set my MSI 2060 Ventus fan to be 100% when it hits 70c and it sits around 68-71c when I'm playing warzone. Even less when playing valorant (around 50c). I think you should be more aggressive on the fan speed. Hot GPU can probably decrease its core lifespan. You should not worry about the fan itself. If I remember correctly the fan components can withstand quite insane amount of time running at 100%.
