So today I went out and purchased an MSI 2080 Gaming Trio GPU, I got home excitedly just to find out my cables are wrong, I have one 6+2 pin cable and it requires two 8 pin, little backstory, I bought this computer prebuilt from cyberpower, probably 6ish months ago, some claimed it was easily upgradeable, which up until now I've had no issues, anyway I go to see if I can replace the PCI-e cable, and the PSU is non-modular, is there anything i can do to get this to work? Or am I going to have to buy a new psu and reroute everything?

Well since you had the $$ to buy the 2080 i guess you have the money to buy a new psu(?)
Somewhat, yes. I’m just not super knowledgeable in the building aspect. I can do basic things like ram, and gpu, but when it comes to routing all the wires, and connecting the case, and everything I’m completely lost

Upgrading a PSU is easy as, very self explanatory. But you might be able to use adapter cables to at least get it running. Its probably better to just get a new 600 up to 750W PSU though.
You'll have no trouble doing the cables, if you can open a case then you can change a PSU

Thanks for the reply man, but honestly I was due for an upgrade anyway and just went out and bought all new components and I'm going to build my first PC, and be completely knowledgeable of everything in it, thanks again though!
