Question Msi 3070 TI trio 8gb won't show signal on pc now

This has been an absolute pain, I installed my new GPU as per the title, and i had to reset the cmos battery like 5 times in order to get it to work, cause i had to have at least my displayport connected before i powered the pc back up again. My screen did freeze at one point originally when i played games while updating the graphics drivers, so not sure if it was cause of that or the new gpu. Here are my specs (bit old)

Asus z170 pro gaming and I'm using the PCIE 3 slot for this gpu
RM850X corsair psu
16gb 2400hz hyperx ddr4 ram
i5 6600k in stock settings.
One ssd for windows and another hdd for files
acer predator xb3 monitor and using display port.

When I disconnect the cable, the monitor recognizes it but i plug it back in and i get no signal. No idea what it could be. I'm thinking of doing a benchmark test on the gpu.

I think it might be this ram stick that i bought a while back. when i first bought it i had to keep changing slots for it to work. Now it works without it and didn't have to reset cmos. but it's weird cause the ram stick it self actually works.

Another update, i replugged all ram sticks after constantly plugging and unplugging and its working but think its going to not turn on again lol
