Hello!
I have an issue with a 4070 series GPU (MSI brand). I believe it could be driver related at this point.

My System: I9 11900 K
Corsair 64 GB DDR 4 Vengeance RAM
1300 Watt Super Nova EVGA Power Supply
MSI Z590 PRO WiFi Motherboard - BIOS updated to latest
NVME 2TB 990 PRO Samsung Drive
MSI 4070 Venus 3X Motherboard
Corsair H150 Elite Cooler
Displays: 2x 24” ACER Monitors @ 165 HZ (connected to displayports) (1920 x 1080)
34” UW Dell OLED Alienware @ 164.94 HZ (connected to DisplayPort) ( 3440 x 1440P)
Samsung QLED 4K TV (HDMI) @ 120 HZ (2560 x 1440)

Issue: Without installing GeForce Now or the latest NVIDA Update (546.01), the card works well and supports all 4 of the above displays with no issue. This is with the automatic driver windows 11 provides which is 531.61 (dated 04/08/23). The minute I try to install 546.01 (or even a version just below that) the card/windows system becomes unstable with 4 monitors. In my desktop environment (newly installed/fully updated windows 11), I’ll notice random freezes that eventually resolve for a moment.

It also hangs when I attempt to update any display settings (change resolution, disable/enable a display) or freezes on the startup/login page. If I wait 2-3 minutes it will usually resolve, but then will act up again without being under any load. The 4th display does eventually show up, but takes a while and often looks scattered before it resolves.

If I unplug any of the 4 displays, the system becomes stable and does not freeze. It seems that the only way I can use the latest NVIDIA drivers is with three displays. Is this is a known issue or anyone have any suggestions on what I should try? I did check my cables (trying different ones, but that didn’t help). I upgraded from a 3060 TI a few days ago, and that didn’t have any issues. Just before I bought the card, there was a windows update I had to restart for, but I just got the card after that update.

Appreciate any assistance!

Didn’t see that! I think I’ll box it up while I still can and look for an AMD solution. Especially with the 2.1 HDMI/Displayports offered.
