Hello everyone,

my 770 just arrived a few hours ago, and I've been a bit troubled by the performance, I assume its a CPU bottleneck or driver issue.

As for myself, in Havana, i've had a bottom of 28FPS, an average of 36, and a high in the low 50s if there isn't much geometry on screen. I'm running @1080, max settings except for soft shadows (low) and FXAA. The other peculiar thing is that running TXAA only shaves 2 frames off my performance. The minimum and average performance is identical to the 570 I replaced when I max the settings, save for soft shadows, AA, and god rays. There is a 5-15 fps improvement when I use identical graphics settings to the 570.

My mobo is AM3, so I'd have to upgrade it to upgrade my processor. Considering I just bought the 770, what bang for the buck solutions are out there for both a mobo and a processor?

I'll try fiddling with different drivers in the meantime. Thanks for any advice in advance.

Just some more information:

I tried rolling back to 326.01, no change, possibly worse. I uninstalled/swept/booted, and then manually searched for folders and registry entries usually associated with NVIDIA. After trying again, on identical settings to my 570, I would say the minimum performance is identical, if not slightly worse with a minimum framerate of 27. my GPU usage never reaches above 50%. After monitoring my cores, the cpu is maxing out at about 80% when under load through resource monitor, and never max out.

About the power: the card comes with a 2 6-pin to 8-pin cable. The card demands a 6 and 8 pin connector. Right now, I am using a single 6 and a single 8 pin-- the card actually has two leds that correspond to the power connectors, which are green. Would this make a difference?
