what display should i get to go with my msi 660 gaming edition graphics card? other components include
asrock 970 extreme4
and gskill sniper ram 8gb

Solution

That is a cheap chinese brand. It will have very low build quality and will be filled with cheap parts. I would avoid it. A good 4k tv that size will cost thousands. Besides, i'm not even sure a gtx660 could handle 4k gaming.

Hey cyrus302!
I don't know your budget but I think you should really consider the ASUS VG248QE. It's an amazing monitor with 144hz, 1ms response time and full hd. It will look great with any card and I believe it is the best screen on the market and will provide amazing gaming experiences.

Here is a link: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236313

Also if you have a budget just post what your budget is and I'll be glad to help you.

Good luck with your build!

I thing spending $250 for a 24" monitor is stupid... Even if it's 144hz.

ASUS and Hanns-G are my two favorite monitor brands, but there are alot of 1080p monitors from LG, Samsung, Dell, and Hannspree that get good reviews. The main things to look for are lower G-T-G (grey to grey) times and good dynamic contrast. Although don't be fooled by some manufacturers claiming insanely huge contrast numbers as those are inflated. Around 1000:1 to 3000:1 are great for contrast. Anything like 10,000,00:1 is inflated and a part of marketing.

Well, thats your opinon. Some people like bigger screens some people like better and smoother screens. It's just what you prefer.

This would be my pick:

or if you want to step up to an IPS panel monitor: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824005240
