Msi 6950 OC crossfire VS msi 6970 crossfire

hi

i want to buy a new vga card,
my motherboard only support crossfire.....

msi 6950 OC crossfire VS msi 6970 crossfire

1) when you buy msi 6950 ,,,can you get the same performace as 6970 by overclocking???
2) which will be better to buy 6950 =$270 AND 6970=$390
so the diffrence is around $120 per card ...... so which will be the better
decision to buy??

I wouldn't pay so much extra for a 6970. the 6950 is far better value, only slightly behind in performance.

As you said, overclocking often brings it up to the performance level of the 6970.

in general 6970 is better and no, ocing the 6950 crossfire did not reach the performance of cf 6970 if you want to save money then cf 6950 is good choose but if you want to throw more money on then go with cf 6970 but there is no huge gain between these two crossfiring.6970 cf is slighly better.

AMD Phenom II X6 1055T
asus crosshair iv formula
2x2gb ram
650w power supply

I got some benchmarks from toms-hardware and other sites in 1080p
and when i started to compare the cards using value per frame (VGA card price /no of frames )
i found 6970 was better in many game it is very close or even some times better than the 6950
but the benchmarks differ from site to site (very bias)
so now i am planning to buy 6950 but
what i want to know is how close can you overclock MSI 6950 to 6970?????

yes that's what i mention in previous post that there is not much difference the better is go with 6950
