So, I just recently acquired some updated (compared to my old system) hardware including a new msi board(the 790fx gd70), amd phenom II X4 965, and a single Radeon HD5850 black edition. My problem is this, when I try and run all 4 slots of ram, my system won't post, powers on, fans and all, but nothing shows up on the display. If I pull the very last stick, farthest from the CPU, it fires right up. The ram is two sets of hynix 2x1gb ddr3 1333mhz kits which equals to 4gb. I've tested each individual stick and they all work. I've even updated to the latest bios. Any help would be appreciated!
System Specs
Windows 7 Ultimate
MSI 790FX GD70 board
AMD Phenom II X4 965 3.4ghz
XFX Radeon HD5850 Cypress Pro Black Edition GPU
(Currently) 2x1gb Hynix 1333mhz Ram
Corsair TX650w psu
WD 350gb hdd
UPDATE: upon further inspection, the ram kit is actually a 4x1gb, so why would it cause an issue? Something with the motherboard?
