I'm trying to choose between the MSI 970 100ME and the Gigabyte 970 G1. I love the looks of both cards, but like the G1's IO better for more organized multi display set ups. At the same time I've heard bad things about both companies. First I heard that MSI Customer Support was bad and if something went wrong replacing the card would be difficult. Then I heard that Gigabyte was unreliable and the fans on the G1 wore out easily or had terrible coil whines. Obviously when you hear these things they can really get to your head when your looking to drop $300 on something. Currently the Gigabyte is available for $320 and MSI's is $350.

Are the company rumors true?
Is it worth the extra $30?
What would you do?

Consider the MSI GTX...

Consider the MSI GTX 970 4G Gaming, which is one of the best GTX 970s, that comes with Twin Frozr V cooling tech, for near silent operation coupled with performance and durable military class components.

(OR) Get the ME Edition as the price difference is negligible between the two and also comes with sturdy dragon engraved back plate. In fact, the ME Edition costs less after '$10 "in-mail-rebates - $339.99:
