My MSI 970 gaming motherboard has 6 audio jacks in the back, but I can't seem to plug in the cables right. I went into the playback options to see if the surround worked, but sadly, it didn't. I have the Logitech z906 speakers. It came with a cable that had 3 different heads: Orange, Green, and black. I don't know what any of these means, and it doesn't include it in the speaker guide. I'm sorry, I'm new to this.

All I know is that the green goes into the Line-Out, but I can't seem to figure out how to properly insert the colour coded cables into the motherboard.

Solution
The last one is where you should be tinkering. Uncheck "swap center/SW", unplug and replug them and make sure you tell it exactly what is what, then click the speakers in teh image to send test sounds to them.
If you still have trouble, a higher res picture would help.
It doesn't matter. Provided you have installed the proper audio drivers from MSI, you will get a prompt every time you insert a wire asking you what it represents. Insert tehm one by one and instruct the application accordingly. They are completly interchangeable.

I know green is line out, but what does orange and black mean?

Again, it doesn;t matter. They can all do anything. Just tell teh drivers what to do.

Ok, so I assigned them what to do. I still don't get any audio from my rear and center speakers when I got to test them from the playback options

Post some screenshots out your audio settings app if you can.

I'm so sorry for the late reply. I'm not 100% sure of what you're looking for, so I'll add you lots of screenshots.

**You see that it's playing a sample audio from the Sub-right speaker, but I can't hear anything.
