MSI 970 OC with 550w PSU

I want to upgrade my GPU to a MSI GTX 970 OC for ultra graphics gaming. Will my PSU handle it? The GPU requirements says 500 PSU or higher thats why im curious.

Actual system power requirement will be just about 300 W, so the 550 W PSU should supply the power easily.
