I got all my parts for my first gaming build but after they all had been ordered (and most delivered) I noticed that the MSI 970A-G43 is very much frowned upon for use with the FX 8320. I'm not exactly sure what the problem is but it apparently has to do with heat. I wanted to know if I would be fine or if I HAVE to get a new mobo. Normally I would at least try to get a different one but I did get a Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO, which I heard was one of the best on the market. I'm very concerned because I would have gotten a FX 8350 but instead decided to overclock this one to the speeds of a 8350. So, just as another factor to put in, I DO plan on OVERCLOCKING. Thanks in advance.

You have made an unfortunate decision with that motherboard. The power delivery and management system (VRM) lacks heatsinks and has few phases and is known to overheat and throttle a stock 95W FX6300, for which it is not recommended at all. The 125W 8320 is worse, and if you intend to overclock it, worse still ( to the point where overclocking is going to slow your CPU down due to thermal throttling of the motherboard). (It would be no different for the FX 8350)

The cooler you have is a decent budget product that will keep the CPU cool It will do nothing for the motherboard.

You will not be able to get close to the potential for that CPU on that motherboard. There are aftermarket heatsink kits available. I do not know how much...

Well, I guess it's official. I'll be getting something else. The gaming build will have to wait. 🙁 Oh well. Better than it breaking and costing more than the replacement of the motherboard. Thanks for the help.
