MSI 970A-G43 stock cooler won't install

Hi all, I sincerely hope I'm not retarded but I am trying to swap my cooler master water cooler (I think it failed) with an AMD stock cooler. The thing is that I can't find the little "hooks" where the AMD stock cooler mounting mechanism is supposed to lock on my motherboard.

Install the two black coloured plastic brackets one in the direction of heat sink and the other at the top of the motherboard, using screws (if not already installed on the motherboard). The plastic brackets must have been accompanied in the motherboard box. Then hookup the stock cooler on both the sides at the bracket centre and tighten the small lever.

If you've had an aftermarket water cooler on there the brackets will have been removed because it uses its own mounting mechanism.

Assuming you didn't fit it yourself ?? Or you'd know this & still have the removed parts safe somewhere.
