Im on a budget to build a pc for myself and came across a deal for an (Msi 970a sli krait edition + Amd fx 8320 for $160. So i was wondering if it was worth it? compared to my original plan to buy an Msi 970 gaming edition w/ an Amd Fx-6300 for around $200~. My thought process was if i bought this combo i could spend more on a GPU so im just wondering if its worth saving the money.
Main build plan:
MB - Msi 970 Gaming edition [$95]
CPU - AMD fx-6300 [$95]
GPU - XFX R9 280x [$230]
RAM - G.skill Sniper Series 8gb (2x4gb) [$55]
PSU - Corsair 750w [$75]
Planning to get an h100i for watercooling

that build looks fine the 6300 is a good cpu for gaming and your on the right track putting more money into your gpu the 6300 will keep all...

well I plan to stick to amd since I tend to do a lot of multitasking. and from what people tell me, more cores is good for that but do correct me if im wrong. Im just wondering if its worth buying this combo since i would be saving $40 and not many reviews yet on the AMD side of the krait edtion. However, so far on newegg it seems its 4+1 power phase isnt that great for a 125w cpu. I just dont want to waste money buying this combo if it would just cause problems on the long run. Idk if that makes sense.

Don't see what wrong with the combo...

I thinks it doesn't have many review because it newer board,
and sadly most people anticipated zen from amd,
and IMO msi and other partner not going spend big to full marketing old 9xx board (not sending sample, etc..).

anyways cannot testify about MSI mobo quality, but I'm glad they honor warranty when my GPU dies..
(after a year and half, got replacement, seems I got a new one.)

that build looks fine the 6300 is a good cpu for gaming and your on the right track putting more money into your gpu the 6300 will keep all games at good fps paired with the 280x. The 6300 can also be overclocked to get some extra power out of it with H100 you should be able to get at least 4.5ghz from it.

i don't know if BF4 is your type of game but here is a video showing fps and game play with that cpu+gpu
