Hi,
I am running 2 x MSI 980ti Lightning in SLI but my PCI-E slots are so close together that main card fans are only millimeters from the second card's backplate and this causes hight temperature issues.
I have enormous amount of air cooling going on and a single card runs around 65-70c full load but in sli with the nearly blocked air coolers on the first card, its temperature quickly reaches 85c and stays at this temperature constanly. this is with 90% fan so I assume the card is throttling down not to go over the max temp set in msi afterburner :/ Card#2 sails smoothly at around 65c.
I was looking into perhaps installing a Corsair Hydro HG10 N980 on the main card to correct this heat issue... I know the HG10 N980 fits the 980ti but does it fit the Lightning edition card?
Thanks!
