Hi i was looking at the MSI A320M Grenade motherboard since i am going for a budget build with the Ryzen 5 2400G and i have no intentions on overclocking anyways which is why i am aiming for the A320M boards and was wondering do i have to use the memory on the support list and what would happen if i used something that is not on that list because i was looking at the Team T-Force DARK 16GB (2 x 8GB) kit which is clocked at 3000MHz and it is the cheapest but in my area but on the list for that series only shows up to 2800MHz so i want to know what would happen if i used that memory in it.

Solution
Memory with speeds so 3000-3200mhz and Samsung b dies with CL14 to CL15 are prefered for reliable overclocking. SK hynix CL16 chips seem to be far less reliable with being able to go past 2999 sometimes even 2666.
Most kits will work but ones not on the list have not been tested by MSI. The worst I have found is the memory gets downclocked but still functions. Ryzen generally has the best compatibility with modules running CL14 or CL15, CL16 is generally where you start seeing issues.

Ok thanks just because this is going to be my first personal AMD build i am doing and really i am going from a Intel i5 2500 and the one thing i heard was for memory on these Ryzen APU's is the faster the memory the better the Vega 11 would perform.
