msi afteburner on startup

If im overclocking my gpu, do I need to select afterburner to open on startup for it to save the overclock? also when checking to see if my core clock I set is stable, do I just constantly keep alt tabbing in and out of afterburner and valley benchmark and seeing if its stable? would appreciate the help

setup the onscreen display in the settings of afterburner to check for stability

it will crash if your OC is unstable. if not you are good and may possibly increase OC. You don't need to alt tab just monitor temps with OSD in msi AB. you can also download MSI kombuster stress test and it works with MSI AB

you can save profiles as well with MSI AB so you don't need to keep sliding clock speeds everytime you start your PC
