Is there something wrong with windows 10 ? I have a gtx 1060 6gb oc dual from asus . When gaming msi afterburn shows 4 gb instead of 6gb . I used gpu-z and it says i have 6gb .

Does this mean when i am gaming only 4gb are avilable ?

No, 4007mhz is the clock speed of the VRAM in your 1060 mine is also 4007mhz. Look at the screenshot of my msi afterburner graph below, memory usage is how much vram is in use, memory clock is the speed the memory is running at. 2584mb is about how much vram I would expect rise of the tomb raider to use at 1080p high, max out everything and see how much VRAM it uses.

In Afterburner click Setting > Monitoring > Memory Usage. Set the Maximum limit to 6144, by default it one monitors up to 4gb. Not every game will use all 6gb but for games that do you will see it after you change this setting.

Mine was set to 8192mb by default.

No need to change it if it is set to 8gb already. Does the vram usage change when you play different games? Most likely the games you are playing don't need all 6gb of vram so they aren't using all of it.

So YOU start a 'scandal' just by saying that, you do have the tiniest shred of evidence that there is an issue? Please don't do that unless you have some actual evidence.

Where are you seeing 4001? In the memory usage graph? Like said above are you sure thats not just wahat the specfic game you're playing is using? Very few games are actually going to come close to using up all 6gb of your VRAM. No leave it 8192, thats the default you shouldn't need to change that.

Here what it says :
Gpu : 99% 71*c 100% 43% 1873 mhz
Mem: 4007 mhz , 2584 mb
D3d11 : 89 fps
Ram : 3496 mb

Isn't the 4007 mhz , what msi afterburn think my vram is ?

Playing rise of the tomb raider , which supposed to eat vram . Though it only use 2584 mb on high with hbao+ and purehair on
