MSI Afterburner Bug

So I'm using a GTX 970 MSI Twin Frozr V Golden Edition, and I've wanted to test my fans, since they're 0db capable.
However when I set my fan curve on MSI Afterburner to have the fan constantly on (lets say 50%), the fan speed on the GPU keeps hopping from 0 to 50 and 0 again, and repeat.
What the fudge.

I think below 60C (?) it turns fans off itself.

They should shutdown below 60C, that sounds like it could be the issue.
I wouldnt bother with a fan curve on that card, it should take care of itself.

The reason is is that the GPU goes to 60C when the fans are off due to NVidia screwing the drivers up and having the GPU stay at max clock speed.
I'm trying to force the card to stay at a constant 20% fan speed but of course that's not working is it.

What if your fan profile had zero rpm below 60C? Would that work?

Yes, the curve works fine after 60C

Nope.
I want to move the 0db limit to 55C.

I don't think you can change it below 60C.

So much for customizeable fan curve.

The cut-out is hard wired into the card. Maybe later Afterburner will be updated to be able to alter the cut out point.
