Question MSI Afterburner - Keeps Popping Up - Way Too Often ?

Hello,

MSI Afterburner keeps popping up randomly in the system tray, stealing focus (literally stopping me from whatever I’m doing at the time), and it often does it 2-3 times within 5-20 seconds ? And that may happen again and again throughout the day sometimes.

It’s really annoying, and I’m not sure why it keeps doing it?

I’ve checked and I’ve got the latest version, it’s set to only check once a week for new updates…. So I don’t think it’s that?

I’m not actively using it at the moment, so it’s not even turned on when this happens…
However, I’d prefer to keep it installed as I’ve got it all set up, and do plan to use it again soon.


Any ideas?

Interesting where did you get the MSI installer from. I have used it for years and not once a pop up?

What is the pop up hounding you to do?

I always use it , never had that happen.

What happens when you go to the "icons to show" aspect and either hide or show it?

Are you sure it isn't trying to send a notification? You may be able to turn that off within the Taskbar Settings. I keep mine set not to actively display (unless I hit the ^) and otherwise shows me what I wish to see within game with RivaTuner.

Good point there in RivaTuner in User Interface I believe you can manually set it to show in the system tray but he would have had to set it up that way.
