MSI Afterburner won't let me change GPU fan speed

I have a Sapphire Nitro RX 470 4GB GPU. I'm experiencing some overheating issues and I installed MSI Afterburner to maybe fix them but it doesn't let me change anything. I upgraded my GPU driver and reinstalled Afterburner but nothing changed. Can you please help?

instead of using MSI after burner why not try using Sapphire own overclocking tool? (i think it was called Trixx or something..)

Solved my overheating problems (inadvertently) but thanks a lot for the tip. Trixx works like a charm.
