Hi all,

I'm planning to add one or two mSATA SSD cards to my MSI AG240-2PE PC but I've read that additional mSATA SSD cards are configured in MSI's Super RAID 2 (a kind of RAID 0). Could I add one or two cards to increase my main storage without configure it in RAID mode or RAID config is the only way to work?

Thanks.

Solution
Now this is my config:

  • mSATA 128 GB: dual installation Windows 10 + Linux Debian
  • SATA 1 TB: data (/home, /var, ....)
I've seen that the difference between an mSATA (1 TB) vs. SSD SATA (1 TB) is about 30€ but I don't know if it be the worth because the performance.
Obtain a 1 or 2TB SATA III SSD.
Replace the existing HDD.
Put everything on the new SATA III SSD.

128GB mSATA is too small for both a Win 10 and Linux OS.

I've entered in my BIOS/UEFI setup and the "SATA Controller" modes are:
IDE Mode
AHCI Mode (active)
RAID Mode
so I could add a new card to increase my storage (and my speed ;) )

Thanks for your help. Regards.
