I'm using a MSI B150 Gaming M3 Motherboard, I just recently purchased a Samsung V-NAND SSD 970 Pro NVMe M.2
I know my Motherboard can ONLY see M.2 sata's can't see NVMe M.2 in the BOIS So I need to use a pcie x4 3.0 adapter M.2
My question is will the M.2 run at full speed using the pcie x4 slot, I have a GTX 960 in the x16 slot.

Hello there, I'm fighting with the same problem as yours and was wondering if you solved your problem?
Motherboard: MSI B150 GAMING M3
SSD: 970 Evo Plus NVMe M.2
The SSD doesn't show up neither on the BIOS and in Windows OS.
So I'm currently using the Kingston SSD A400 (120Gb), but the storage is pretty short for my usage.
I'm determined to use my M.2 SSD which is still in the box xD.
My questions are:
Did you bought the adaptater ? Which one ? Can you share the link ? Is it compatible with my SSD ?
Where did you installed the adapter, on which port ? Could you locate me the one ?
PS: I'm sorry for not answering your main question. Thanks a lot!
