I just finished my new system today and when I went to try to boot it up I noticed none of the system fans turned on, however the motherboard lit up and the CPU debug light was on. I have tried checking all the power connections and everything seems sound. I am at a loss as to what the issue could be.

Specs
Ryzen 7 1700
MSI b350 Mate
Cryorig h7 cooler

Solution
So it means your CPU is not correctly installed or it has failed.

If you have reset the CMOS see page 35 of the manual and it does not fix.

First verify
You have connected both the 24PIN ATX connector and the 8pin (4x4) CPU PC-EATX as well. (not to be confused with a PCIe connector). Check that they are properly engaged on both motherboard and PSU.

As a final step:
You will need to remove the Heat sink and CPU. Get a magnifying glass and check that you haven't bent any pins on the CPU. Also check that the CPU is in the right way (triangle on CPU lines up with socket)

If that does not fix then I suspect you have a dud CPU.

Solution
the light will also come on if the eps cable not connected or there bad power. on your build if you cant get the led to turn off. pull the mb see if it post on tox of the mb box with one ram dimm. on your mb look at the bios rev sticker see if the mb has the bios needed to post your cpu chip. if not have amd send you the free cpu bios upgrade kit or see if someone has an older cpu you can post and update the mb bios.
