About 2 years ago, I bought a prebuilt pc that came with an MSI B350M Gaming Pro Motherboard. Recently, I purchased a Silicon pro S55 SSD to boot Rainbow Six Siege and some other games off of. However, when I plug the ssd into either SATA port, it is not detected by the computer. Is there something wrong with the SSD, or am I just missing an obvious problem?

Solution
Then that's why the drive is not showing up.

Take a look at your Barracuda - there are two cables connected to it. One transfers data (connected to the sata port on the motherboard), the other is power - from the PSU. Most PSUs should include cables/connectors for at least two SATA devices.

In the Bios function, it is only showing my hard drive as connected, it says for all other Sata slots that they are empty.

I do not believe I have any M.2 drives. All I have is a Seagate Barracuda 2tb hard drive and this ssd I'm having the problem with.
However, I am unsure of what you mean when you say "SATA power cable". All that I recemtly connected is a SATA cable going from the SSD to the MoBo.
