Hi guys,

I have a question and I’d like your help, I recently bought a gaming PC, I’m having an issue finding the XMP profiles and I cannot manually set the frequency to 3200 mhz which is the rated frequency for the ram, it sets itself to 2666mhz, I tried setting it manually from two different settings on the motherboard but the PC just doesn’t boot until I clear cmos and the only thing it does is light up the RGB and the CPU debug led turns on.

Here are the specs:

Case: NZXT H510i
Motherboard: MSI B450 A-PRO
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5700X
RAM: Crucial PC4 3200 32GB×2 DDR4
SSD: M.2 NVMe Crucial CT1000P5PSSD8 1TB
Power Supply: Thermaltake Toughpower Grand RGB 1050W 80+PLATINUM
GPU : ASUS TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 3090
CPU Cooler: NZXT Kraken X53

please let me know if you have any idea why the XMP or (A-XMP) profiles aren't showing up, thank you!

note: I already updated the BIOS to the latest version but still no XMP option.

Your ram module doesn't have XMP profile. You can't overclock it automatically.
But 3200mhz mode should not require overclocking.

Anyway - increase DDR voltage to 1.35V.
Use Jedec #14 settings for manual overclocking. If #14 is not stable, then use #15 or #16.

Thank you for your reply, I'll give it a try and update based on what happens.

Thank you so much! I set the voltage to 1.35v and after that I was able to change the ram speed, I appreciate your assistance!
