Hello guys, can you help me decide?
I recently bought a AMD Ryzen 5 3400G and now i have the money for my motherboard upgrade.
I decide to go with MSI motherboard the b450 gaming pro carbon ac($148.82) and x570 a pro($178.16) is on my price range.
is there any difference on their performance or just minimal?
I'm not planning to OCing my cpu maybe just the XMP ram set to 3200mhz or 3400mhz

Solution
I would avoid MSi motherboards... Their sub $300 boards are noted to have really crappy VRMs. While they can handle 65-watt CPUs, they overheat with any 95+ watt AMD CPUs. They only have a 4+2 or 5+2 VRM design while other brands have 7+2 going up to 14+2 designs which reduces the heat. My MSi Gaming Carbon Pro X570 only has a 5+2 VRM and with the AMD 3900X the VRMs hit 95+ degrees, not conducive for long live. Other brands have temps as low as 50-80 degrees which are a lot better.

The X570A Pro only has a 4+2 VRM design and reviews have shown that the board hits 100+ degrees with a 3900X. The board then throttles the CPU down until the board cools down. When the speed reverts to its rated speed, the board throttles again...
I'd get the MSI MAX boards for 3rd gen as they're cheaper then the X570's and natively support the 3rd gen right out of the box. Also the MAX boards support higher memory speeds over the non MAX B450 boards.

Sure it will work fine with a 65-watt CPU but it prevents you from upgrading in the future...
