Hello

im looking for a mainbaord to pair with a ryzen 3600x

sweetspot for the mainbaord is 100€ but I’m ready to invest up to 150€ if it’s good investment

But My decision has to be between the msi tomahawk .Max or the aorus b450 pro

im very curious which one to buy cause in one forum they say the msi boards are <Mod Edit> and in the other forum they say the gigabyte board is <Mod Edit>.

But when I look at YouTube I’ve seen only positive videos about the tomahawk .....

i also consider to buy the asus b450-f motherboard

can you guys give me some advice on which I have to choose ?

(sorry for bad English , I hope you guys understand me )

That gigabyte board is sh*t...specifically the VRM is even though it looks skookum. The MSI Tomahawk Max has had problems, specifically early BIOS problems, but it's VRM truely is as skookum as they come. Your objective would be to update BIOS to the latest as soon as you can and you'll not experience those problems. The other problem with Tomahawks is it's an extremely popular choice with first-time builders, too many who'd rather cry on the internet than figure out what they did wrong in the build.

But another reason the gigabyte board is sh*t is you have to be careful to get a board that will work with a Ryzen 3000 out of the box as not all sellers will have boards updated to a compatible BIOS. The Tomahawk Max comes with a bios that works with ryzen 3000 as it was manufactured for that very purpose, which not coincidentally would also be a good reason why it's so popular with first-time builders.

And if I want a mainbaord around 150€ from msi
Can you give me some advice on which to buy in this price category.
And it has to be either a Max version or have a flashback button cause I don’t have an older ryzen cpu
Can you suggest me a mainboard ?

(is there A list from msi motherboards who have a Max Version or a flashback button ? )

What features do you want that the cheaper boards do not provide?

a quick google found this at the MSI corporate site:

https://www.msi.com/blog/msis-max-motherboard-lineup

you can start looking there. Down the article a bit is a list of B450 MAX boards; just pick one and look for a retailer selling one in your area to get the price.
