What is the difference between Msi b450 and gigabyte b450m ds3h and which one should I choose

Do I need to install bios for both two boards with ryzen 5 1600

Two key differences right off the bat make me favor the Gigabyte board: the DS3H has 4 DIMM slots and a heatsink on the VRM FET's. The DIMM sockets are iffy now but nice in the future if you need to increase memory without tossing some DIMMS. The VRM heatsinking is really significant though. Other differences depend very much on how you intend to use it: like whether that PCIe x 16 /4 on the MSI board matters to you.

You should not need to update BIOS to operate a 1600 right out of the box but it is strongly suggested to do it anyway whichever board you get. That simply because updates have enhanced stability and memory performance.
