[SOLVED] MSI B450 with Rip Jaws G.Skill 16gb 3600Mhz Ram

Hi all, Just purchased my first MSI B450 motherboard along with RipJaws G.skill F4 3600Mhz 16gb Ram. However looking at the motherboard manual, it says it only supports ram up to 3466Mhz. Will this be a problem or will the cpu ignore the excess ram ?

Which MSI B450 board exactly?

The newer MAX versions support above 3466.

If you were to use that memory on a board that supports 3466 as the maximum speed then the memory will run at 3466. The difference between the 3466 and 3600 is pretty minimal, maybe a few FPS.
