I have a B450M PRO M2. It's working fine with a Ryzen 1600 for years. Now I bought a Ryzen 5600G. Before any try I updated the BIOS to the latest version, which is 7B84v2I1. Then I installed the 5600G. It did not work. CPU led on EZ debug is ON. No video no beep. Then I installed the 1600 again and it works fine. So I perform a clear CMOS and tried the 5600 again. No sucess. I have two rams 2400mhz installed. I tried with one, tried with both and with single. I did test the 5600 on another kit and it worked fine, so it's not the 5600G the problem. No sucess. I tried with and without the video card since 5600G has video integrated. So far i did not find anyone with exactly same board that have this problem. Theguy that tested my 5600 said MAX version of this mobo worked fine. I also know there is V2, V3...What should i do next?

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

You sure you're on the latest BIOS? The CPU LED being lit means there's an issue with the CPU, can also happen if you don't have the right BIOS version on the board, either that or the APU you got was faulty out of the box(yes it happens).

Could you elaborate on how you flashed the BIOS? What BIOS version were you on prior to the update?

Theguy that tested my 5600 said MAX version of this mobo worked fine. I also know there is V2, V3.
So this APU is used?

  1. Yes, im sure is the latest BIOS. AMI BIOS 7B84v2I1 2022-07-13.
  2. Unfortunately i didn't take note the previous BIOS version. I checked the mobo oficial website for oficial support information. there says the 5600G is supported. Then i download the latest BIOS file. Copied it to formated FAT32 pendrive. Tun off the PC. turn ON. Enter the BIOS section. Then performed the update. it ocurred without problems. My pc boot up normally with the ryzen 1600. Only then i change to Ryzen 5600g and no sucesso. led cpu lit on mobo. tested the rams. no sucess. tested clean cmos. also no go. put the ryzen 1600 bak. sucess boot normally. So i took the ryzen 5600 to a guy that do this kind of work for business. He tested the 5600 to me using a b450m pro MAX. (mine is not MAX). The 5600 worked fine on his mobo. I really dont understand why is not working.
  3. i bought it new. Its not used.
  4. I tested with and without my rx580. both cases, CPU led lit and no POST.

I had the same problem fortunately I knew it right away and I thankfully had another cpu to update the bios. I used bios ver. 7B84vAF a msi rep confirmed that its a stable bios with support for that chipset.
