[SOLVED] Msi b450m pro m2, ryzen 5 3600

Hi, tried flashing the bios for ryzen 5 3600 cpu on msi b450m pro m2 board, did not work, tried few bios versions morevthan once, the windows just doesn't start and noticed that the ventilators of the gpu doesn't spin, when having 2400g just pressing the power button after a sec the ventilators on gpu starts to spin, everything looks like is working just doesn't boot, always saying hdmi not detected, gpu works fine on other pcs.

Hi, Try without graphics card. Connect the monitor to board.

Tried that, same, I meqn there's no integrated graphics on 3600

Yea I know, but I mentioned it for bios flash purposes, everything with 2400g worked, tried flashing bios, switched to 3600 and computer runs fine except for gpu ventilators, the gpu logo lights up tho, but windows just ain't loading, always showing black screen.

After flashing the BIOS, does the pc run with the 2400g? Have you checked the BIOS version, to make sure that process successfully completed?

Yea it does, cause I tried flashing bios with the latest then with the one before that, then checked in bios, at all times processes were completed fine.

After installing the graphics card, have you connected all power cables and video cable from monitor to it? Does the card work with the 2400g?

Yes, computer fully working with 2400g, all I do next is only switch the CPUs after bios flash, but like I said, ain't working.

Not sure then, about the issue, Try RMA-ing the CPU, to rule it out.

Could it be because I applied to much thermal paste, not really to much, but just when I put the cooler it spread to the place I marked in the screenshot, no paste on socket or pins only on that small green piece.

No, it shouldn't be an issue.

Try reseating the cpu - I had similar issues when I put together my rig today. Ended taking it all apart and after reseating the cpu everything worked fine

Pull a single RAM stick and see if it posts. The 3600's can be a bit picky with memory and bios versions in my experience.

Nope, got dual channel ram sticks, tried every way, same. Reseated the cpu few times after flashing bios.

And the ez debug led on cpu is always on or thats how is supposed to be when something is wrong with updating bios and mobo did not update for ryzen 3000

UPDATE: CPU works fine, tried even on a A320 motherboard and it booted, waiting now till friday, giving me a new board, updated and tested.

SOLVED: was motherboard, got ASUS PRIME B450M-K and works fine, even ram works at 3733mhz when my bud has MSI B450M PRO-M2 and exactly same ram can run at 3466mhz.
