Question MSI B550M MORTAR WIFI USB BIOS Flash not working

I purchased a MSI b550m MAG mortar wifi, and tried to use a USB to flash the bios, now it wont post..

I followed the instructions from MSI and got the latest bios file and renamed it MSI.ROM, i plugged in the usb to the one with the white box and pressed the flash button. it went through the process and when it stopped blinking i waited five mins and powered off the psu and unplugged the usb.. turned it back on and nothing happened.. wont even post now. what am i doing wrong? lol

specs are:
Ryzen 5 5600x
b550 mortar wifi
Samsung 980 1tb nvme m.2
corsair ddr4 3600mhz x2 16gb
rtx 3060 ti

Try clearing your motherboard's CMOS. You forgot to mention the make and model of your PSU.

pc should restart once done, you might have interrupted it, try again? bootblock might not be corrupted so it probably can be reflashed again

Sorry i should have done an introduction when i signed up, was busy stressing over this and i forgot. my psu is a Corsair CX750F RGB.
this might be a rookie question lol but how would i clear the CMOS? Remove the battery?
