Gotta love these pre-builds, no informaton what motherboard exactly is in, no information what HDD/SSD and no information what ram.

Can someone please explain why it is not uncommon to have pre-builds utilize a PSU that falls short of the manufacturers recommended wattage? I get that performance isn't greatly impacted, but still, it just doesn't seem practical for the long term functionality having to operate up against or below recommendations.

That is ridiculous. Put a 750 minimum PSU in that puppy. It is couple dollars more. What a bunch of b.s.

Actually, 550W is lots for that system. Most modern gaming PCs that use only one GPU and an 115x CPU only need about 350-400W while gaming.
