Coolermaster doesn't make PSU's. They have OEM's do it for them, and slap their name on it.

CWT makes corsair's top models, but like any company, they can make good and not so good products.

I do wish TomsHardware would update their PSU manufacturers list, it's been over 7 years, and it is a very good reference when advising people of which brand of PSU to buy on a budget, and a good answer as to why their PSU blew up...

What does this even mean? Cooler master does not, in any way, make power supplies. They SELL power supplies with their own name on it, but they don't manufacture them. Nor do they generally design them either. They use platforms from companies like CWT, Seasonic, FSP, HEC, Great wall, etc.

That won't happen. Igor doesn't even work for Tom's anymore, Aris is too busy with reviews and other various projects and there is really nobody else qualified or knowledgeable enough to do it. I've asked several times over the years and have been basically told "ain't gonna happen".

There is however, this, that is somewhat more up to date, but Orion doesn't update it much anymore from what I've seen.

What part of Coolermaster doesn't make PSU's did you not understand? They source OEM's, like CWT, Seasonic, FSP, and such to make them for them. They may have some input on the design/look, but at the end of the day, they don't make them.

Superflower and seasonic make primarily single rail units iirc. These msi units are multirail right? So I'd bet on either FSP or CWT, out of the two, I'd hope it's a CWT.

The modular PSU cable ports appear to be the same as on some of the Coolermaster The mid-range psu's. They appear to be of the same design as the msi ones being advertised. The same poor quality, half arsed soft plastic in the same shape and of the same lackluster design to keep things affordable.
