I just can't seem to decide on a gpu, i have heard both good and bad things about the MSI twin frozr gtx 970 and the asus strix 970.
The MSI doesnt have a backplate and is said to droop? My question is how much and is that even a big deal?
I love the extra red and overall look of the MSI but it seems reliability and lifespan would go to the Asus?

I don't own either cards, but I do own an Asus card and it doesn't over clock too well while in comparison a same model of my card made by MSI OCs better. So if you are going to overclock the card that is something you may want to consider.

I did a fair amount of research on the 970s, They are all very similar ofcourse but some allow further overclocking, I would go for the Gigabyte G1 if it can fit in your case, not only is it the best overclocker but it lights up, which to me. Is important. Gorgeous backplate too.

MSI Twinfrozer, they already have the best overclocking software out there. ASUS GPU Tweak is basically Afterburner with much less features. If you try to use Afterburner with an Asus card you may end up finding out that the voltage control is locked for your card in afterburner and the only way to use is to use GPU Tweak which only allows modest overclocking anyway.
