Question MSI Gaming Plus B550

So i bought this mobo along with Samsung 970 Evo Plus (without heatsink) and i was thinking to buy the Samsung 980 Pro too (with heatsink), will these work fine on my motherboard at the same time?, will i have compatibility issues?, should i buy a heatsink for the 970?. Any installation tips or extra tips would be great. Thanks

No compatibility issue. Heatsink depends on your usage and ambience. Run it as is for a few days and then evaluate as per temp readings.
As for tips, you have two M2 slots on the board. Slot one is high speed CPU Link and Slot 2 is standard chipset link. The 980 Pro in Slot 1 should give faster booting times, marginally though.
